When we first receive your order it is stored in a sealed plastic container. During the whole of our process your slides/photos are stored in the same box and are only removed from the container when needed for cleaning, scanning or review. Following each step they are immediatley returned to the box. This care and diliegence helps us maintain a 100% success rate. Each slide is cleaned using a dehumidified air blower. This helps remove stuck on dust & dirt. Our aim is to use non-contact cleaners to ensure that we cannot damage your slides. In rare occasions a slide may arrive in a seriously damaged or degraded state. In this instance if the slide is too damaged to obtain good results from the air blower we will use minute amounts of distilled water and a lint-free wipe to attempt to remove the dirt. Needless to say we will only carry out this action with your prior consent! Each slide is then scanned in your desired order before undergoing a free colour correction. Given that slides do degrade over time we try to ensure that we restore the image to its former glory. Our scanning process ensure that each slide is actually scanned 4 times to ensure that the maximum information is obtained from the image. We then use the images to create a slideshow which is then is reviewed to ensure that the images are correct & of a good enough quality. If an image fails the QA process we will re-scan it and try again. If it repeatedly fails QA and the resulting image is of very poor quality we will not charge for the slide! Once the QA process is complete we then burn the DVD, perform a final QA on the DVD & prepare your slides & your new DVD for its return to you!
