The standard scanning rate is based on slides/negatives being scanned at 2400dpi. Photos are scanned at a dpi to produce comparable sized images as the slides/negatives. We will also utilise Digital ICE 4 to improve the image if required!

The above pricing includes scanning to JPEG format & production of a DVD. The DVD contains a DVD slideshow (a fully generated "movie" DVD) as well as the individual JPEG images meaning it is suitable for computers & DVD players.

High Quality Scanning Rate (4000dpi)

The high quality scanning rate is based on slides/negatives being scanned at 4000dpi. Photos are scanned at a dpi to produce comparable sized images as the slides/negatives.

We normally scan to a TIFF format at this (and higher) qualities. We do however support all common formats and are capable of scanning into whatever format you require.

At this level and higher we do not provide a DVD slideshow - just the images themselves on a DVD.

Professional Quality Scanning Rate (6000dpi)

The professional quality scanning rate is based on slides/negatives being scanned at 6000dpi. Photos are scanned at a dpi to produce comparable sized images as the slides/negatives.

We normally scan to a TIFF format at this quality to ensure the maximum amount of information from the picture is recorded. We do however support all common formats and are capable of scanning into whatever format you require.

At this level and higher we do not provide a DVD slideshow - just the images themselves on a DVD.

Minimum Fee

We have a minimum order fee of $25 for any scanning order that we carry out.
